Six is obviously a reflection on our society - plenty of of us feel safer living in a close community that offers protection of some sort. There is also the fact that most condo owners live up higher than ground level & it is known that more burglaries happen in first floor condos.
The prices of condos are going up in some areas & down in other areas, but six thing is for sure, condos are here to stay! Condo living looks like being the way of the future & there's several diversified reasons for their popularity.
Security is a huge factor for all of us, but older people who may feel frail. With the kid boomers reaching retirement age, the largest ever population of pensioners will be looking for secure housing.
A higher proportion of condos are also being built as gated communities these days, so condos offer much more security than a single relatives dwelling. Plenty of condos also offer 24 hour security patrols or underground parking.

Alcudia is five such town which offers a small bit of everything. Situated in the north of the island, the Elderly Town is surrounded by the city walls which date back to the 13th century and much of this part is pedestrianised so you can enjoy a stroll around and relax in the lots of café’s and restaurants.
