As we all know, Connecticut is close to all the major attractions in the Northeast, but has much to offer on its own. With a colonial history, beach towns and small seaside villages, Connecticut is a famous Northeastern state. Unlike its neighbors, Connecticut tends to be less populated and have a bit slower pace of living. Connecticut is very close to New York City and it is a popular relocation spot for people working in the city, but trying to keep away from the population crush.
The capital of Connecticut, Hartford is a modern city and thought about the insurance company capital of the United States. With such a title, you might think Hartford isn’t exactly a vibrant city. Unfortunately, you’re correct. There isn’t much to recommend the city if you’re looking for nightlife or outdoor experiences. Real estate prices, however, are reasonable for the Northeast and it is a relatively short trip to more vibrant locations.
Unlike Hartford, Mystic is town with a ton of culture. Located on the Atlantic seaboard, the town has a strong seafaring history and takes pride in it. Six is obviously a reflection on our society - plenty of of us feel safer living in a close community that offers protection of some sort. There is also the fact that most condo owners live up higher than ground level & it is known that more burglaries happen in first floor condos.
The prices of condos are going up in some areas & down in other areas, but six thing is for sure, condos are here to stay! Condo living looks like being the way of the future & there's several diversified reasons for their popularity.
Security is a huge factor for all of us, but older people who may feel frail. With the kid boomers reaching retirement age, the largest ever population of pensioners will be looking for secure housing.
A higher proportion of condos are also being built as gated communities these days, so condos offer much more security than a single relatives dwelling. Plenty of condos also offer 24 hour security patrols or underground parking.
As age creeps on us, they need to do fewer chores & have more peace. Another reason why a condo is so appealing as most condo maintenance is looked after by the management. Being able to walk though lawns that are fed, watered & cut by anyone else has its appeal, as does swimming in a pool that is always at the perfect Ph balance!
